There are no proven benefits of this berry as such, that I’m aware of.
They are one of the highest sources of antioxidants.
You need antioxidants to counter free radicals which are formed when things oxidise. We are exposed to them through pollution and certain foods that have been exposed to high temperatures like processed vegetable oils, milk powder, powdered eggs etc. They are also formed naturally in you body as cells utilise glucose for energy, also called oxidisation.
Free radicals are believed to speed up the aging process and may also contribute to cancer and other health problems if not balanced with antioxidants

Acai contains Vitamin B1 (Thiamin), Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin), Vitamin B3 (Niacin), Vitamin C, Vitamin E (tocopherol), iron, potassium, phosphorus and calcium. It also contains the essential fatty acids Omega 6 and Omega 9, all the essential amino acids, and more protein than an average egg.

What really sets Acai apart from the berry/fruit products is the antioxidant content. Studies show that Acai has up to 33 times the antioxidant content as red wine grapes. When compared to wolfberry, noni and mangosteen juice products, Acai is 6X more powerful in terms of antioxidant content.

    The Nutrients in Acai

    Oleic acid
    Palmitic acid
    Linoleic acid
Anthocyanins (also present in red wines)
Beta-sitosterol (beta-sitosterol), a phytosterol that inhibits cholesterol absorption.

The fiber content is approximately 44% of the total fruit mass, making it one of the most fiber rich fruits.

No personal observation, but, the bottle says it works (is felt) in days instead of weeks or months. I didn’t notice anything at all, so I have it growing dust in the closet with all the other Christmas vitamins I get from my dear health conscious Uncle. This one is a powder, so it was easy to over dose. Depending on the size of the spoon in the drawer.
